New Eco Award

The Excellence in Housewares Awards 2019 is introducing a new product award that will recognise products that promote sustainable living and environmental awareness – a significant area of growth and innovation. The new Eco Award will be open to products across the housewares spectrum, including food and drink storage and other products that help consumers cut down waste and consumption of single-use plastic. It also includes kitchenware that is made from recycled materials or with other environmentally friendly criteria.

“We’re excited to launch this timely award, recognising the importance of sustainable living and practises on the agenda for consumers, retailers and suppliers,” commented HousewaresNews.net and Progressive Housewares’ editor, Jo Howard.

The Excellence in Housewares Awards will soon be open for entries and nominations – with announcements to follow on HousewaresNews.net.

The Awards are co-organised by Progressive Housewares and The British Independent Retailers’ Association (Bira) and will take place on Wednesday October 2 at London’s Royal Lancaster Hotel.
