EIH’s Eco-Award attracting new entrants

The new Eco Award is proving a timely category addition for the Excellence in Housewares Awards, attracting a wide array of entries alongside the Awards’ existing product categories.

The Eco Award recognises products that promote sustainable living and environmental awareness – a significant area of growth and innovation. It is open to products across the housewares spectrum, including food and drink storage and other products that help consumers cut down waste and consumption of single-use plastic. It also includes kitchenware that is made from recycled materials or with other environmentally friendly criteria.

To be eligible, products must be launched at UK retail from June 2018 to the end of June 2019 (ie selling via a UK retail outlet). The other Excellence in Housewares Product Awards include: Excellence in Cookware, Excellence in Homewares, The Plugged-In Award, The Top of the Table Award, The Cutting Edge Award and The Top Tool or Gadget, as well as The Innovation in Product Award.

Entry is free of charge – suppliers can download an entry form HERE

Completed forms should be sent with product samples to PH’s HQ by Friday June 14.

Any queries should be addressed to Emma Cain at emmac@max-publishing.co.uk or call 020 7700 6740.

The Excllence in Housewares Awards are co-organised by Progressive Housewares and The British Independent Retailers’ Association (Bira) and will take place on Wednesday October 2 at London’s Royal Lancaster Hotel.
