Mason Cash film classic

Eagle-eyed kitchenware aficionados may enjoy spotting a traditional style Mason Cash mixing bowl in the kitchen in the trailer for the newly released Downton Abbey film as well as searching for it in the film itself.

The new film is a showpiece for all manner of 1920s kitchen and dining wares – a nod towards the trend for 1920s glamour at the dinner table. The ‘roaring Twenties’ was highlighted by Scarlet Opus in its Trends display during June’s Exclusively shows as a theme for Christmas, the new year and going into 2020.

Mason Cash was established in 1800 and produced its first iconic traditional cane coloured mixing bowl in 1901. The bowls are regularly spotted as kitchen props in period dramas.
