With a passion for quality manufacturing, attention to detail and a love for design, the brands accomplishments and unique selling points live on to this day.
Following on from Haden’s heritage in pioneering colour and design, it now takes inspiration for new collections from the British countryside and stunning seaside towns. The latest example of this is the Salcombe appliances in elegant cream colour with sleek copper accents – following the success of its Black and Copper range. The kettle features 1.7 litre capacity, convenient water viewing window and scale, light indicator during boiling and a spare filter. A matching four-slice toaster features extra wide slots, convenient cancel/defrost/reheat settings, adjustable browning control, a removable crumb tray and cord storage. The Salcombe range is available in three colours- Cream & Copper, Black and Copper and Teal.
Moving inland, Haden’s new vintage inspired Highclere collection combines timeless feel with sophisticated features. The quintessentially British kettle and toaster were influenced by stately homes of the past, coupled with a modern twist to classic stove top design using colour and texture – available in elegant Cornish cream and matte stone blue colours. The kettle features a 1.5 litre capacity, ergonomic grip handle, water level gauge, a light indicator during boiling and includes a spare filter. A matching 4-slice toaster features convenient cancel/defrost/reheat settings, self-centering function and a removable crumb tray for easy cleaning.
Heritage is one thing but modern technology is another, though, as is evidenced with the Richmond, a variable temperature kettle. Owing to the fact that by using the correct temperature settings, a perfect herbal tea can be brewed with an ease. For instance, the super food lovers drink of choice – green tea – should be brewed at 80 degrees to enjoy a natural flavour as the water seeps the goodness from the tea leaves. For coffee making the Richmond kettle is also perfect for the press or pour-over connoisseur – the ideal temperature is 90 degrees to avoid burning the coffee. Additional features include an easy clean glass body, sleek stainless-steel accents as well as a water light illuminator and keep-warn function.
