Sad news: Andrew Leggett

It is with great sadness that HousewaresNews.net announces that Andrew Leggett, former managing director of BergHOFF UK passed away peacefully and bravely on Thursday August 27.

Andy was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in 2017. He had kept his condition private, only making it public to the industry in May this year, when he and his wife Paula (marketing director at BergHOFF) announced they were stepping down from the business due to Andy’s health.

A fuller remembrance of Andy will follow in the coming weeks. If anyone would like to make contact with Paula and the family, please email sarah@prdirect.net.

Andy spent the past six years successfully building up the BergHOFF brand in the UK and worked in the housewares industry for nearly 35 years.
