Pikk-it’s hairy problem solver

An invention to remove the hairs and fibres from vacuum cleaner rollers has been rebranded as Pikk-it, with the recent launch of a dedicated consumer website and charity fundraising collaboration.

David Eccles, co-founder of 2020 Creations was frustrated by the time spent taking out hairs from his vacuum cleaner and, finding no product to help him, decided to create a tool using 3D printing in nylon plastic. He was featured with his invention, first called the Rollareleasa, on BBC1 TV show The Customer is Always Right. Recognising the growing popularity of his household gadget, David decided to create a stronger metal version, which he rebranded as Pikk-it. Furthermore, £1 is donated to Pink Ribbon Foundation for every purchase of the new Pikk-it.

As well as its vacuum hair removal capacity, Pikk-it also features a Dyson or Shark faceplate release, and is also a useful tool for removing hair from hairbrushes. It has been attracting rave reviews from consumers that are happy to find a practical solution to an old problem.
