LSA and OXO among Green Good Design winners

LSA International’s Canopy collection is among the winners of the prestigious international 2021 Green Good Design Awards. Hundreds of product designs, graphics, architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning projects, together with visionary leaders, were awarded Green Good Design Awards this month by Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. The programme identifies the world’s most important examples of sustainable, innovative and ecological design.

Centred around the concepts of hydration and propagation, LSA’s Canopy was created in partnership with the Eden Project. Inspired by the Project’s iconic Biomes featuring contemporary domed and curved shapes, including glasses and carafes.

Each piece in the collection is mouthblown from 100% recycled glass, turning discarded material into something useful. Agglomerated cork, made from waste fragments of sustainably harvested cork bark, is also used as a component of some designs.
