The impressive line-up of finalists in the Product categories for the Excellence in Housewares Awards 2023 has been revealed today (Tuesday 31 July, 2023).
Boasting 12 finalists in each category, the winners will be revealed at a glittering ceremony at the Royal Lancaster Hotel on Wednesday, 4 October, 2023, fully supported by trade associations BHETA and BIRA, as well as trade shows including Ambiente, Exclusively and The Inspired Home Show – and backed by leading suppliers across the housewares sector.
The finalists were chosen as a result of each entry being carefully scrutinised by a judging panel consisting of esteemed retail buyers, each of whom cast their votes across the categories.
The judging panel included buyers from Lakeland, John Lewis, Robert Dyas, Borough Kitchen, Harts of Stur and Morley Stores, as well as specialist independents from across the UK including Salamander Cookshop, Potters of Hockley, Garsons and The Kitchen Shop Lichfield and many more.
Katie Roberts-Mason, editor of Progressive Housewares magazine and Housewaresnews.net, commented: “The innovation throughout the year and reflected in the outstanding entries we received this year, is astounding. The judges had their work cut out to choose the best of the best, with so many worthy entries, reflecting trends, sustainability, consumer needs and taking the macro economic climate into account.
