Retailers are ‘truly honoured’ to be named as EIHA finalists

Following the recent announcement of the finalists in the Excellence in Housewares Awards retail categories, retailers have been celebrating their place on the much coveted list.

Harrods has been named as a finalist in the Best Department Store – Independent category. Margaret Osei-Bonsu, buyer, commented: “We are truly honoured and were shocked to be finalist in this year’s Excellence in Housewares Awards. None of this would be possible without the amazing brands we worth with.

“We continuously strive to think of innovative ways to create the ultimate shopping experience and retail theatre. This is only possible with the incredible suppliers we work with, and the fantastic products launched this year. It is truly a joint effort and we’re extremely proud to even be considered for the award.”

Yossi Gliksman, director of Upstairs Downstairs, finalist in the Independent Cookshop of the Year, said: “We are so excited about this, we have done so much this year to promote the high street and fight the drop in footfall.”

Jason Somers, Divertimenti general manager, commented: “Divertimenti are incredibly grateful to be nominated as an Independent Retailer of the Year and Best Retail Display within the homeware industry. This nomination not only recognizes our hard work and dedication but also highlights the passion we have for providing top-quality cookware and service values to our customers. We appreciate the acknowledgement of our efforts, and it inspires us to continue striving for excellence in the culinary world.

“As for my personal nomination for Retail Employee of the Year. I feel completely humbled for the recognition on the work we do in store. I want to express my appreciation for the opportunity to be considered among such a talented industry.”
