Lifetime Brands: Why I sponsor the Excellence in Housewares Awards

Claire Budgen, commercial & marketing director of Lifetime Brands explains why the awards are a not-to-be-missed event.

Why do you sponsor the Excellence in Housewares Awards?

Claire: “We’re so proud to be part of the most important awards event within the industry, celebrating success together is so important.  The awards are also such a key coming together marker every year, an opportunity to meet with and celebrate customers, colleagues and peers.”

Why did Lifetime Brands choose the Outstanding Achievement Award as the category it would sponsor?

Claire: “There is so much innovation, dedication and support within this industry and the awards are a fabulous recognition of those that play a part, lead and influence. Our sponsorship of the Outstanding Achievement Award is a small marker of respect to all of those who have made this tremendous industry what it is and contribute to its growth.”

What’s your favourite thing about the awards?

Claire: “It’s a real privilege to be part of something that recognises some of the incredible work our independent customers do. They are the life and soul of our business and high street. We strive to spotlight out independents in a similar way with in-house events, so naturally we want to support the awards.”

Why do you think housewares companies and retailers should attend the awards?

“The legacy of the awards is second-to-none. Missing out on being part would be just that – a real miss. In past years we’ve celebrated our bakeware ranges as newcomer winners and this year our MasterClass bakeware has been nominated in the icon category. What a feeling.

“We know that every person in every department contributes to our growth and success. The awards spotlight is far reaching across suppliers and retailers and it’s very special to be able to support and celebrate at the Oscars of the industry. To have so much across the industry to recognise and celebrate is truly an outstanding achievement in itself.”
