Amazon set for marathon Black Friday

Amazon.co.uk is due to launch its ‘biggest ever’ Black Friday sale from November 22 until November 29. This is Amazon’s tenth Black Friday sale since it introduced the event to the UK in 2010.

The discounting event will begin on amazon.co.uk from 00:01am on Friday November 22 until 23:59pm on Friday November 29. The ‘one stop deals destination’ will offer new Deals of the Day, as well as Lightning Deals – products available at a discount, in limited quantities, for a short period of time – with new deals becoming available as often as every five minutes.

Predictions for eye-catching discounts in an article by The Telegraph newspaper include the Shark Upright Vacuum Cleaner and iRobot Roomba. Both featured in last year’s event and reflect the on-going popularity of cleaning inspired by influencers like Mrs Hinch. The newspaper also notes the popularity of juicers and blenders in Amazon’s 2018 Black Friday sale.

Amazon’s Home of Black Friday customer experience will return to London for the third year running for four days from November 28. The pop-up (in Waterloo) will provide experiences for consumers such as cocktail master classes at the Amazon Bar and Christmas workshops with Amazon Handmade Artisans. Participants in last year’s Home of Black Friday (which popped-up in Shoreditch) included Nestle Dolce Gusto –providing drinks samples – and Le Creuset.
