Ambiente makes ‘sensational comeback’

4,561 exhibitors occupied the Frankfurt exhibition centre and 154,000 retailers from all over the world visited the shows, benefitting from a unique variety of products.

Detlef Braun, member of the executive board, commented: “With an overwhelming participation and tremendous internationality, we have made an incredible comeback for the global consumer goods world after two years of pandemic.

“Frankfurt has strengthened its leading position and is the comprehensive inspiration, ordering and networking event. Our new concept one-stop-shop is working.”

70% of visitors came from abroad, with the strongest participation nations including Italy, France, the Netherlands, US, UK, Spain, Turkey, Switzerland, Greece and Poland.

Lars Adler, chairman of the board at the European Lifestyle Association, said: “It’s gigantic and the visitor frequency super international – even far more than expected and far more than in 2020 before the pandemic. We are overrun, nobody expected that and we are very happy. The combination of Christmasworld, Ambiente and Creativeworld is proving to be a very fortunate solution for exhibitors and trade buyers alike, and one that should definitely be maintained.”

A wide spectrum of international retail trade was on site, including Amazon, John Lewis, Marks & Spender, El Corte Ingles, KaDeWe and many more. Hotel chains were also present, including Marriott International, Hilton Hotels & Resorts and Hyatt Hotels. The satisfaction ratings among visitors were 94%.

The extensive supporting programme bought together a wide range of international speakers and designers, and was praised as a valuable source of inspiration.

The digital version of the show also extends the trade show experience. Digital Extension saw a total of 80,242 participants take part in over 8,000 networking interactions, 4,000 chat messages and over 1,000 hours of content were watched. The platform will be open until 17 February, allowing exhibitors and visitors to follow up on meetings from the show.

In 2024, Ambiente, Christmasworld and Creativeworld will be held simultaneously again from 26 – 30 January.
