Argos manager is Retail Woman of The Year

Seven inspirational women that are changing the face of UK retail were announced at a ceremony in London last Thursday (September 12) attended by hundreds of usiness leaders from UK’s leading retail brands.

The overall Woman of the Year was awarded to Alice Boaten, regional manager at housewares stockist Sainsbury’s Argos, London. Alice joined Argos in 2002 as a temporary colleague recruited for Christmas and, over the course of her career, has undertaken a wide variety of retail roles.  The Awards judges (which included John Lewis) commended herdrive and ambition for change and career enhancement.

Alice’ also puts the customer at the heart of everything. She is a powerful listener and coach, and her passion and energy has filtered down through her team.
