Dexam has added new storage jars and cake tins to its Bees Knees collection. The company donates 2% of the retail price to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. Also coinciding with the start of spring, Nordic Ware has introduced a new Honeycomb Loaf Ban to its bee themed products.
“We started working with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust in 2019 with our Bees Knees collection as it perfectly marries with our ethical values and offers consumers the connection between cooking, food, crops, pollination and bumblebees,” explains Helen Boardman, product manager of Dexam. Existing pieces in the Bees Knees collection include kitchen textiles and mango wood accessories.
Tessa Brooks, senior fundraising officer of the Bumblebee Conservation Trust acknowledges: “Dexam’s support has helped the Trust to continue our conservation activities across the UK as well as developing and launching innovative ways to engage and inspire environmentally- minded people to take action to help our struggling bumblebee species.”
Meanwhile, Nordic Ware has launched a golden Honeycomb Loaf Pan, adorned with wildflowers and bees. The new pan joins Nordic Ware’s Beehive, Honeycomb and Busy Bee Bundt Pans, Honey Bee Cookie Stamps and a Honey Bee Pancake Pan.
Doing its bit to support the bee population, Nordic Ware’s community garden at its factory site in the USA is home to a real beehive, which produce over five gallons of honey each year. Providing ingredients for sweet baking, Nordic Nectar is distributed to Nordic Ware employees and the local community.
