The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) has published a new quarterly economic report pulling together multiple sources of data on the housewares, small domestic appliances, home improvement, DIY and garden sectors. It includes original research drawn from its membership.

The first report of the year is available free to BHETA members. It comprises a comprehensive document of around 30 pages containing information on category size and growth rates for housewares sectors; as well as retailer updates, BHETA member views and a macro-economic update.

BHETA is working with Globaldata, the leading supplier of market data to compile much of the content.  Globaldata uses primary research to make estimates for private companies and independents and cross-references the estimates with secondary sources to generate a complete view of the market. BHETA is also providing members with Globaldata’s weekly reports and sales forecasts gauging the impact of coronavirus throughout the crisis.

Commenting on the new publication, BHETA’s marketing manager, Steve Richardson said, “The BHETA Quarterly Report will enable members to benchmark their business and help with decision making.  It is an excellent picture of the sectors in which BHETA operates and will be published every three months to keep the content ‘live’ and timely.”

He added: “The COVID-19 weekly reports have been very popular with members who appreciate the breadth of information available and the market forecasts.”
