Black+Blum launches new multi-function food containers

The recent trend in consumers looking for products to combine several functions has led the brand to introduce its range of Multi-Function Food Boxes and Bowls.

The range comprises five sizes of stainless steel containers and provides a combination of benefits. Due to a unique design, the containers can be used in the microwave and thanks to the lid-lock switch, the containers are totally leak proof and when closed, a semi vacuum is created, meaning food stays fresher for longer.

The containers are ideal for meal prep and can also be stored in the fridge or freezer, and the bases can be used in a conventional oven. The sizes all nest together too, meaning they are easier to store when not in use.

Dan Black, founder and lead designer, commented: “Consumers are looking for easy to use solutions in food storage, meal prep and lunch boxes, that combine several functions. These containers can be taken outside the home, due to being lightweight and totally leak-proof.

“The design also makes them perfect to meet the growing consumer trend of weekly meal-prep. and associated storage. We have extensively tested the boxes for use in the microwave oven. Because of the carefully considered design and with the use of the right steel, they are absolutely safe to use in the microwave to re-heat food.”

Nick Cornwell, managing director of Black+Blum, added: “Our enhanced range of premium designed products has become even more relevant to consumers since the global pandemic; taking healthy food and drink on-the-go has become more important than ever.

“Living a sustainable lifestyle is also increasingly top of mind. Our use of eco-friendly materials and membership of 1% for the Planet are important signs that underpin our commitment to doing our part to protect the environment.”
