Black+Blum meets Prada

Black+Blum (reknowned for its high-quality food and drink on-the-go designs) has partnered with Prada, one of the world’s leading brands in the luxury sector, to supply a selection of Black+Blum products featured alongside the Prada Re-Nylon collection.

Prada Re-Nylon is a sustainable line of Prada products which repurposes nylon, obtained through the recycling and purification process of plastic waste collected from oceans, fishing nets, landfills and textile fibre waste. The launch of the programme by Prada took place in Selfridges, London earlier this month as part of the store’s Project Earth initiative. It is being rolled out globally in Prada’s own stores, concessions and pop-ups from mid-September.

Dan Black, founder and lead designer at Black+Blum said: “I am delighted that Prada not only recognises and appreciates the design values of these Black+Blum products, but also sees that their sustainable credentials make them great candidates to be sold alongside the Re-Nylon range from Prada. What Prada is doing with their Re-Nylon initiative is truly ground-breaking in the fashion world, and we are delighted to be associated with it in our own small way.”

Nick Cornwell, Black+Blum’s managing director added: ”Creating these four beautiful co-branded, premium products for Prada shows the scale of the market potential that exists in this product sector. It demonstrates that Black+Blum has the expertise to partner with big brands or retailers, and to open up commercial opportunities for them, by helping them to make the most of this ever-growing food and drink on-the-go category”.
