buyfair is ‘revolutionising’ buying

The new B2B multi lot auction-based marketplace for overstock, sample and end-of line product, buyfair global is revolutionising buying and selling, according to its founders, who include Make International’s Dominic Speelman. The marketplace’s mission is ‘to rethink, reduce and repurpose stock.’

Dominic, who is ceo of buyfair global and founder of Make International reports: “The response to date has been overwhelming positive as we’re addressing a global problem many manufacturers are now facing – what to do with overstock? It’s reached a critical mass and we have a solution – a unique auction site that connects sellers directly with buyers in a brand safe environment.”

In addition to Make International, housewares suppliers using buyfair include LSA International, Dexam, BlissHome and Serax.

Dominic explains: “The platform offers brands a new route to market and a better return on their product. For buyers the site offers a fast, immediate and simple way to purchase product in volume and at the best possible price. Long lead times are no longer necessary.”

Nia Evans, managing director of independent housewares stockist Bodlon praises the platform for creating “a level playing field for all retailers and fair pricing.” Another buyer, Henry Doherty from Harcourt Construction comments: “We work on high-end commercial projects often with short lead times putting tremendous pressure on our team resources. The site gives us access to thousands of products, allowing us to source product anytime, anywhere without the need to travel the world searching for them. More importantly, we can buy perfectly good stock in bulk and at great prices.”

Meanwhile, one of the suppliers using the marketplace, Russel Cameron of Innermost confirms that buyfair “allows us to sell our product in a more controlled B2B environment that doesn’t devalue our brand”. He also acknowledges that the platform is reaching new customers for the company.

The buyfair platform has now launched a crowdfunding campaign to help accelerate its growth.
