The master bakers of Frankfurt have been busy designed bespoke cakes to celebrate some special anniversaries during Ambiente (Frankfurt am Main, February 8-12). During the well attended, bustling international trade fair, 11 exhibitors were presented with surprise gifts from the show organisers. The presentations included Brabantia. Fackelmann and KitchenAid – all with centenaries this year – as well as Pillivuyt, which has turned 200, Lenox, now 130, and BergHOFF, which is 25 years old.
The companies were presented with a cake that resembled products of logos, or champagne. For example, Brabantia’s cake was in the form of a pedal bin.
“Our exhibitors have been successful for many years now, and so we want to celebrate with them in person. It’s a remarkable achievement when a company has been in the market for such a long time,” said Nicolette Naumann, vice president Ambiente.
Brabantia is marking its centenary with a collection of products with some retro inspiration. Meanwhile, KitchenAid invited visitors to its stand to share photos taken with a giant stand mixer.
The next Ambiente will be held from February 7 to 11 2020.
