Dexam adds innovative BBQ accessory to offering

Dexam has launched a new grilling glove just in time for summer.

The heat resistant glove protects hands up to 350°C while providing flexibility and comfort and is now in stock. Finished in black with long cuffs and red accents, the glove is universal in size, making it suitable for everyone. It has silicone palms to help grip barbecue tools and cookware.

The grilling glove is ideal for ovens, grills, cooking, baking or handling hot items in the kitchen or outdoors. It is also useful for household stoves.

Made from polyamide, the material has a high temperature and is oil resistant. It is also non-slip, wear-resistant, elastic and has fast heat dissipation making it durable for long time use. The long cuffs also prevent burns on forearms and wrists.

Helen Boardman, Dexam’s product manager, commented: “No one likes to scorch their hands and arms while grilling. The only protection you could find for a long time was a pair of work gloves, oven mitts, or a folded-over dish towel. The common thread between these is that they’re all flammable, which makes them less than ideal and they lack agility.

“Grilling gloves offer way more dexterity, fine motor skill ability, and heat insulation than the previous solutions. Our grilling glove is also suitable for everybody. It has been made so that it is one size and reversible making it great for both left and right hands.

“Customers can purchase two and wear them as a pair if they prefer. The glove can be used for a variety of indoor and outdoor tasks; they make lifting the lid off of a hot grill more comfortable and equally opening a stove to manipulate burning wood possible too.”
