Dexam bids Peter Dunne a fond farewell

Dexam has announced that Peter Dunne, founder of CellarDine, will be moving on at the end of March, having played a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth transition of the brand into the Dexam family.

Since Dexam acquired CellarDine in 2023 – along with all intellectual property and brand names, Peter has worked closely with the team to embed his extensive knowledge of the brand and its innovative products. His insight and expertise were invaluable throughout 2024, a year of consolidation that set the stage for the future growth of CellarDine under Dexam’s stewardship.

“Peter’s passion for CellarDine and his deep understanding of the wine accessory sector have been instrumental in ensuring that our team is fully equipped to take the brand forward,” said Bryony Dyer, managing director at Dexam. “We’re grateful for his support and wish him every success in his future ventures.”

Looking ahead, Dexam has ambitious plans to expand the CellarDine range and strengthen its presence both in the UK and international markets. With a focus on innovation and premium design, the brand is well-positioned for growth, offering exciting opportunities for new and existing retail partners.

As part of this expansion, Dexam is keen to establish partnerships with overseas distributors who share its passion for high-quality wine accessories. Interested distributors are invited to get in touch to explore opportunities to represent the CellarDine brand in their respective markets.

Peter told housewaresnews.net: “I have been in the trade 35 years and having set up CellarDine 27 years ago, I am extremely proud of the brand and product development we have created. Producing innovation is not easy and over the past 17 months since Dexam acquired my business, I have passed over as much knowledge and information as possible to ensure continuity of product, which has helped to expand both UK and International distribution. I am very confident under the Dexam umbrella, CellarDine will continue to thrive and prosper. I wish them all the very best.

“I would also like to express my sincere thanks to the many customers and dedicated supplier partners who have supported CellarDine on our journey as none of this would have been possible without your support, a huge thank you.

“Moving forward in the short term, I will be overseeing the running of a family business that is involved in manufacturing iconic awards for prestigious clients such as Bafta, it’s an exciting opportunity that will keep me involved in product design, QC and production. Looking at my own limited acting skills via my in-store videos, it is highly unlikely that I will ever win a Bafta myself, so just to be involved in making the award is quite amazing.”
