A smaller 10.5” work and large 14” work have been added to the pre-seasoned range, which already offers a 12” and 13” round bottom wok. All are suitable for modern hobs, including induction. There is no need to season at home, as the woks are already pre-seasoned giving the benefits of non-stick, without having a non-stick layer which can scratch of wear out.
Each wok features a bamboo handle, which doesn’t transfer heat. The new 10.5” wok is suitable for one or two people, while the new 14” version can cook for up to six people. The carbon steel construction heats up quickly and allows for very high heat.
Jeremy Pang, co-founder of School of Wok, commented: “A wok is a prized possession of all Asian cooks for its ability to make delicious and crispy stir fry. Choosing a wok needs experience. Even the most expensive woks are made the best by seasoning the right way in the kitchen. Not all of us can do that and here comes our pre-seasoned woks to the rescue.”
Bryony Dyer, managing director of Dexam, added: “Our pre-seasoned woks have been tried and tested at the School of Wok and with talented chef, Jeremy Pang. We were delighted when the 12” and 13” pre-seasoned woks were selected as finalists in the Excellence in Housewares awards 2022 earlier this year and are pleased to be able to offer this popular product in additional sizes.”
