Dexam unveils new RHS range in time for Chelsea Flower Show

Following the success of its existing collections, Dexam has launched two new ranges in partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) for 2024.

The Cottage Garden and Hooker Fruit ranges are now in stock – perfectly timed for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show which takes place on 21 – 25 May 2024.

Both ranges are made from organic cotton yarn. Organically grown cotton yarn is kinder to the environment as it uses less water, reduces soil erosion and does not use hazardous manmade pesticides.

Both prints were sourced directly from The Royal Horticultural Society Lindley Collections which houses the world’s finest collection of books and printed materials on gardening and outstanding collections of archives, photography and botanical art.

The new Cottage Garden range is a nod to the traditional cottage garden, which, English in origin, depends on grace and charm rather than grandeur and formal structure. The range features many colourful floral prints on a muted background. The design is available in an adult apron, set of two tea towels, double oven gloves and peg bag.

The second range is called Hooker Fruit. William Hooker (1779-1832) was the greatest fruit illustrator of his day. In 1815 the Horticultural Society of London hired Hooker to paint portraits of fruit grown in England to authenticate the names. More than 150 paintings form the collection known as Hooker’s Fruits.

Dexam celebrates some of Hooker’s designs with its Hooker Fruit range. The design features various apple, nectarine and plum varieties on a blue background with green trim and is available in an adult apron, set of two tea towels, double oven gloves and peg bag.

Helen Boardman, product manager of Dexam, commented: “The RHS Chelsea Flower Show represents the pinnacle of horticultural excellence, with something for everyone no matter what kind of gardener you are. We aim to do the same with our RHS by Dexam ranges and collections, all of which tell a unique story and have universal appeal.

“It has been a pleasure to work with the RHS on these latest ranges. The two new ranges will initially be launched on textiles but plans are already in place to extend them into other categories.”

Cathy Snow, licensing manager at RHS, commented: “Both the Cottage Garden and Hooker Fruit ranges make beautiful use of artworks from the RHS Lindley collections, are designed with care for the environment in mind and will be superb additions to any kitchen or dining room. They also underline the continued success of our partnership with Dexam.

“The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is a high point of the year for both gardeners and lovers of nature and the perfect time to bring these superb botanically themed Dexam ranges to retail.”

To celebrate their arrival and the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Dexam has launched several offers to allow retailers to make the most of sales during May. Included with the offer is a special pack containing both of the new ranges with 16.67% off and free carriage. The offers will be valid until 26 May.
