Dexam woks around the clock with new accessories

Dexam is introducing an array of new Asian cooking accessories to the School of Work range, including a wok clock, and microwave rice and vegetable steamer.

The School of Wok range is a collection of woks and Asian cooking accessories to enable enthusiasts to practice the art of Asian cookery with excellence from the very start.

New for 2023 is the wok clock – a multi purpose tool for stress free stir frying. The tempered glass wok clock helps you prepare and cook your ingredients and place them around the wok wok clock as per the illustrations. Start at 12 and work your way clockwise around to follow timings of your stir fry or other wok recipes. The clock can also be used as a worktop saver, protecting surfaces.

Nev Leaning, director of the School of Wok, commented: “The wok clock is the key organisation tool the School of Wok in Covent Garden teaches every single student who passes through our doors.

“Wok cooking is a very quick process, so by setting up what we call a wok clock, using the face of a plate like the face of a clock – ordering your ingredients from 12 o’clock and then going around, you can eliminate the time it take to go back to your recipe to see what comes next, thereby lowering the risk of burning anything and also allowing yourself to really enjoy and get into the cooking process.”

Also new to the range is the microwave steamer which allows perfectly cooked rice and steamed vegetables every time. The steamer has a large capacity to allow cooking of a wide range of vegetables and enough rice for family sized meals. Made in the UK from tough polycarbonate with a clear lid for visibility and is dishwasher safe.

Howard Bradley, commercial director of Dexam, said: “It is important to us to provide consumers with a comprehensive range of great products and we love to introduce new ways of cooking traditional Asian food.

“These two new accessories make Asian cooking easier and we hope will encourage more people to cook their favourite meals at home. Our partnership with the School of Wok goes from strength to strength and we will be launching further additions to the range later this year including specialist knives.”
