Dishmatic in the pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Sales of three limited-edition pink Dishmatic washing up tools will support October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  The special pink editions include the Dishmatic Style, Dishmatic Glide and stainless steel scourer Dishmatic Scrubbee with a pink sleeve.

For the fourth year, manufacturer EasyDo Products is supporting Against Breast Cancer (UK), with a donation of  £10,000. The charity funds pioneering research into new breast cancer treatments, tools for earlier diagnosis, as well as advice to reduce the risk of recurrence and secondary spread of the disease.

EasyDo’s donations have already funded a vital bio bank (a type of specialist freezer storage) for samples from a diet and lifestyle study.  The study, which involved more than 3,000 women diagnosed with breast cancer, helped identify certain activities to help reduce the risk of developing secondary cases of the disease.

Kelly Gibson, head of fundraising for Against Breast Cancer said: “Long term partnerships are vital for our charity.  Knowing the income will be continued year on year allows us to plan on how to use those funds effectively.  We look forward to working with Dishmatic every year; they make a real difference.”

“We’re delighted to be continuing our support of Against Breast Cancer – the research they do is vital, as the results of the diet and lifestyle study show,” commented Laura Allen, Dishmatic’s marketing manager.  “Every year we are touched by the support from our loyal fans and customers who go pink to raise awareness for breast cancer and we hope this year is no different as we launch our limited-edition pink range.  We’ve also lined up a few extra activities for our fans and followers on our social pages this year, so watch this space!”
