Eco-friendly at The Housewares Show

Sustainability and Eco Products will be a key theme at next month’s The Housewares Show (13 August for AIS members only and 14 August for independents at Cranmore Park, near Solihull).

With the show’s categories including Cookshop, Tabletop, SDA, Home Fragrance, Glassware and Home Gifts, there will be Trend areas scattered across the showroom, highlighting key themes for the season.

Among new eco-focused products at the show are JWP’s Lock & Lock Eco range and Smidge (the new brand from Horwood). The latter includes reusable bottles, coffee cups, wood fibre chopping boards and silicone lids – designed to provide alternatives to single use bottles, cups, clingfilm and plastic chopping boards.

Eddington’s expanding If You Care range will also be on show, providing solutions to waste reduction.

Deborah Goulthorpe, homewares controller at AIS comments: “Consumers are looking for more eco-friendly items and many of our key suppliers have not disappointed with their ranges.”
