EKO’s key worker specials

EKO UK (renowned for its innovative bins) is recognising the immense personal efforts of key workers with a 20% discount on its products for all NHS staff and frontline workers (such as teachers, care workers, police, and employees of food chains).

Once verified, EKO is supplying a discount code as well as a voucher that the critical worker can give to a friend. The voucher enables a friend to receive a £5 to £10 discount, depending on their purchase.

The ‘thank you’ initiative follows on from EKO’s donation of hundreds of face masks to local surgeries and hospitals at the beginning of the pandemic.

Brian Walmsley, EKO’s UK commercial lead comments: “EKO Home is a small team based in Marlow, which (like many other teams) have been working through the difficulties of reconfiguring their operations, juggling home working and home-schooling, and with many retail customers either closing or switching to online-only sales.”

He continues: “Difficult though this has been, it is nothing to the immense personal efforts and sacrifices made by key workers every day. All the amazing staff and support functions of the NHS and many others including care workers, social workers, teachers and those working in the production and sale of food, medicine and other essential goods.  We wanted to say a ‘thank you’ to them, and also encourage people to recognise them, with a voucher/incentive to their friends and family.”

Brian says that the initial reaction has been “very warm and positive – especially as we are encouraging people to recognise others.”
