European style-focused trio join BHETA

The latest housewares members of BHETA (British Home Enhancement Trade Association) are three European brand names that are renowned for innovation and style.

French kitchenware innovator Mastrad is now represented by a new company, N&P Housewares set up by well-known housewares figure Nick Gabb. N&P Housewares recently joined BHETA, along with Stefanplast, the Italian housewares, garden and pet products designer, and Casa Si, a German laundry and household products company.

Known for its invention of everlasting steel soap, Mastrad started in 1994 and specialises in the design of culinary accessories, combining utility, ergonomics and colour.  The multi-award-winning company has expanded its range considerably in recent years and now covers cooking, baking and food preparation, as well as kitchen organisation and storage, and children and baby ranges.  It is best known in the UK for its signature product, the patented Orka Silicone oven mitt,  which won the Top Tool or Gadget Award in The Excellence in Housewares Awards 2002 as well as  ‘Innovation of the year’ from the Good Housekeeping Institute.  Earlier this year, Mastrad expanded into smart kitchenware with its app-controlled food storage system, designed to minimise waste.

2- Stefanplast

Stefanplast was established Italy in 1964 as a manufacturer of plastic products for household use.  Today it is a leader in recyclability and the use of recycled plastics, making products for the housewares, garden and pet categories. Priding itself on continuous innovation, it creates stylish shapes and attractive products that fit in with today’s need for practical functionality, design and sustainability.

Casa Si was founded in 1998 in Austria and is one of the most comprehensive ranges of ironing boards, cloth dryers, rotary airers, shopping trolleys and step stools available.  Its product philosophy is represented by its strapline: Life Meets Style.

Seema Grantham, BHETA’s sector manager for housewares said, “Mastrad, Stefanplast and Casa Si are all known for its design and innovation, redesigning and reinventing popular kitchen and household essentials to function better or be more stylish.  I am delighted to see N&P Housewares join BHETA, especially at a time when continual innovation is so vital to the market.  I look forward to welcoming the team to future BHETA events.”
