The winners of this year’s Excellence in Housewares Awards have been crowned in a glittering ceremony, attended by hundreds of industry execs at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.
Following a champagne reception provided by Burton McCall and once guests were seated, a raffle took place, raising funds for charities, The Rainy Day Trust and The Light Fund.
The evening concluded with BHETA’s Seema Grantham being honoured with the Outstanding Achievement award for her services to the industry over her 25-year career.
During his citation, which was fantastically interrupted with a standing ovation as it became clear who the recipient was, Rob Willis, coo and joint owner of Max Publishing, commented: “Each year, we receive a great many nominations for this award. Some brilliant, some unexpected. Now and again, there’s a real trend where the same name comes up over and over. That often comes about because that person really is making their mark, and this year’s recipient may just be the expert when it comes to making a mark, leaving a lasting impression, and being ever present in each and every corner of the housewares community.”
