Excitement builds for Excellence in Housewares Awards

There’s just seven days to go until the housewares industry’s big night at The Excellence in Housewares Awards on Wednesday October 5 at the Royal Lancaster London. Tickets are selling fast for the much-anticipated event, which will be hosted by comedian Sara Barron, and there is still time to grab seats (see below for how to book).

Meanwhile, finalists continue to share their thoughts on what it means to be in the running for one of the coveted Excellence in Housewares Awards.

Featuring in both Excellence in Retail Display and Retailer Initiative categories, the team at Dinghams in Salisbury commented: “Dinghams is a small single-store and online family business, and to be a finalist in the prestigious Excellence in Housewares Awards 2022 is wonderful and an indication of the importance of independent retailers in the retail mix.”

At Millys, managing director Neil Allweis enthused: “We are all absolutely thrilled  to be nominated for this year’s Excellence in Online Retailing Category. Just being a finalist is recognition of all the hard work put in by the team at Millys.” He reflected: “The last two years have been very challenging for everyone and we are very grateful to be recognised for this award within the industry.”

Among the Excellence in Retailer Initiative finalists, Buy Me Once founder, Tara Button stated: “Buy Me Once exists to champion quality and longevity over throwaway, poorly made products helping people to save money over time and the planet by dramatically reducing waste. To be recognised for our work amongst some truly great brands is incredible.”

Sponsors of this year’s Excellence In Housewares Awards include industry associations BHETA and Bira, trade shows including Ambiente, Exclusively, The Inspired Home Show in Chicago, Clean & Tidy Home Show, and leading suppliers across the housewares sector including: Burton McCall, The Cookware Company, Denby, DKB, Expose Travel, Forma House, Gastroback, Grunwerg, Joseph Joseph, Lakeland, Le Creuset, Lifetime Brands, Meyer, Products of Change, Tower Housewares, Tramontina, Ultimate Products.
