The Exclusively Show now has a shortlist of over 50 ‘super on trend’ products and brands out of over 300 exhibiting.
Visitors to the show (11 and 12 June at the Business Design Centre) will have to wait until the exhibition itself for the ultimate accolades, but all shortlisted winners will be on display in the Trends Showcase, curated and endorsed by trend forecaster, Scarlet Opus.
Scarlet Opus will also be hosting talks on the trends rationale which are on a ‘turn up on the day’ basis. Visitors are also urged to book in for the trend tours to get an exclusive and more intimate insight into the sales must-haves for now, 2025 and beyond from Phil Pond from Exclusively’s trend forecaster, Scarlet Opus.
Trend Talks take place in the Trend Showcase and are available on a first-come first served basis on the day, with around 50 seats available to listen to each presentation. Trend Tours of the displays run on the hour and visitors should pre-book at https://www.exclusivelyshows.co.uk/press/scarlet-opus-trend-tours-talks
Meanwhile Exclusively has released its third pre-show insight into the trends – the third macro-mood being ‘Resolve’. Phil has also supplied a pre-show insight into the Resolve vibe, which is essentially a lack of trust in official government and economic prediction and a determination to ‘create’ on the side of the consumer.
Phil explained: “Resolve consumers want demonstrably genuine corporate social responsibility (CSR). They are cynical about anything that they perceive as somehow rigging sustainability to tick boxes. So, suppliers need to demonstrate genuine sustainability credentials in their product development. This is good news for real creators and for any supplier who can demonstrate real re-use of genuine waste materials.
“As a result, we are also predicting massive breakthroughs with metal and wood, but the look is crucial. On the warm metallics front we are seeing warms like bronze, rose gold, copper, and brass, but also the cooler tones if blackened like tarnished silver and pewter. Across the board, we are looking for burnished, shimmers, brushed and weathered.
“The same thinking is true of wood where we predict mid to dark tones, warm such as cherry or redwood and blackened or charred themes.”
Chair of Exclusively, Will Jones commented: “Exclusively has a well-established reputation for predicting the commercial trends in housewares, gift, and small domestic electricals, and this year will be no exception. Visitors can enjoy trend talks, trend tours for buyers and displays of exhibitors’ products pre-selected for being particularly ‘on trend’.”
