EXKY from Veritable is a CES Award Honoree

EXKY, the newest smart indoor garden from French brand Véritable is an honoree for The CES Innovation Awards in its ‘Tech for a Better World’ category. The annual CES Innovation Awards recognise outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products.

Perrine Giacomazzo, international sales manager for Véritable explains that EXKY “is the most compact, the most efficient and the most advanced smart indoor garden in the world.” She adds: This nomination proves that Véritable is the leading brand in urban gardening technology.” EXKY will be on show at the CES Las Vegas show in January.

Earlier this year, Véritable’s marriage of nature and technology turned heads at Exclusively Electrical, with stockists now including Lakeland. The brand’s smart indoor gardens grow herbs, vegetable and edible flowers by providing light, water and nutrients.

Perrine reflects on the ease with which the gardens are set up and maintained: “You don’t need to have a green thumb to enjoy the taste of nature without leaving the front door.”

Home Fashion News magazine wrote a two-page article in its September/October issue calling Véritable’s indoor gardens “the product of the year.” In the summer, coverage on ITV’s This Morning also stimulated a surge of consumer interest.

Véritable’s gardens come with 34 ‘Lingots’ of natural soil-less growing media with pre-sown seeds, including organic sweet basil, organic chives, organic parsley and cherry tomatoes. At the end of this year, new refills such as strawberry, rosemary or petunia are due to be launched, enabling consumers to ‘grow their own’ through the winter.

*The Coravin Wine Preservation Opener is also among CES Innovation Awards honorees for Tech for a Better World.
