Friends Homewares scoops Licensing Award

Reflecting the enduring popularity of classic comedy, Friends (and its renaissance for new younger viewers), the Friends Homewares from Pyramid International was crowned the Best Licensed Home Décor, Tableware or Housewares Range (sponsored by Spring Fair & Autumn Fair).

The accolade was one of the The Licensing Awards 2019, which took place at London’s Grosvenor House last week.

The Friends Homewares range includes hydration bottles, mugs, travel mugs, coasters and a doormat featuring catch quotations from the show as well as the Central Perk motif.

Welcoming everyone to the Awards event – which was hosted by TV presenter Vernon KayJakki Brown, joint managing director of Max Publishing, which owns and organises The Licensing Awards, commented: “This event is testament to the enormous talent, passion and commitment of our industry.”

Over 1,300 retailers, licensors, licensees and industry attended the Awards which were once again backed by Brand Licensing Europe 2019 (BLE) as headline sponsor, and supported by industry trade body Licensing International.
