gia product design finalists announced

Brabantia, Dreamfarm and simplehuman are among the 65 finalists in the IHA Global Innovations Awards (gia) for product design. Global honorees in each of 13 categories will be announced at the gia Awards dinner that takes place during The Inspired Home Show 2022 (Chicago’s McCormick Place, March 5-8).

Visitors to The Inspired Home Show will be able to see an exhibit of finalists and Global Honorees in the new Hall of Global Product Design in the Grand Concourse Lobby of the North Building. Entries to the gia product design awards were judged by a panel of industry experts and news media.

Congratulating the finalists, Derek Miller, IHA president and ceo said: “Our world-renowned gia programme is the ultimate awards event in the industry, honouring excellence in housewares retail, product design and student design. We are thrilled we are able to gather together in person once again to honour all our finalists and winners.”

The gia product design finalists include the GreenPan Reserve 10 piece set from The Cookware Company and Le Creuset USA’s Signature Bread Oven in Cook & Bakeware. The Household & Home Electrics category includes the simplehuman’s cleanstation, while Jura Z10 features in Electrics.

Dreamfarm’s Brizzle (scoop drizzle basting brush), Microplane’s Extra Coarse Mixing Bowl Grater and the GEFU Spice Tower are among finalists in the Kitchen Hand Tools & Cutlery category.

Meanwhile Dreamfarm has another finalist with its Spina (spin and strain colander) in the Kitchenware category, along with simplehuman’s compost caddy, and Zip Top’s Reusable Silicone Snack Containers. Smart Home Products includes Mastrad’s meat°it 3 and Sustainable Products feature Bee’s Wrap Reusable Produce Bags, Brabantia’sStepUp Pedal Bin and Zoku Pocket Utensils.
