gia product winners announced

The 13 Global Honorees of the IHA Global Innovation Awards (gia) for product design were revealed at the gia dinner in Chicago on Saturday (March 2), coinciding with the International Home +Housewares Show (March 2-5). Winners ranged from well-established brands to first-time exhibitors.

The Honorees included the Stand up Stasher from Stasher, Dreamfarm’s Ortwo (Grind One-Handed or Two}. Sagaform’s Hold Adjustable Vase, Magisso’s Visibility Bottle, Fusionbrands’ BenditBrush and Mastrad’s m°control.

“Congratulations to these winners of the IHA Global Innovation Awards for product design; they are excellent representatives of the cutting-edge innovation and creativity that is driving the housewares industry today,” said Derek Miller, IHA president. “Our world-renowned gia programme is the ultimate awards event in the industry, honoring excellence in both housewares retail and product design.”

Celebrating Stasher’s award, Andrew Geddes, director of sales, international reflected: “Everybody realises the need to be plastic free and are recognising Stasher as the plastic-free storage solution.”

Nearly 500 products were entered in the IHA Global Innovation Awards (gia) competition. The 65 finalists are featured in the New Product Showcases at the IH+HS and the 13 Global Honorees are on display in the show’s Hall of Global Innovation.
