Gia star Porland at Turkish Supplier event

Porland – whose flagship retail store won the coveted gia Global Honoree Award in Chicago earlier this month – is one of the wide range of Turkish suppliers/manufacturers at the Meet the Supplier events in London and Birmingham next week.

Established as a brand in 1976, Porland produces 70 million pieces every year and has more than 100 collections and patterns. The company exports to more than 30 countries and uses a ballerina in its logo to reflect the grace and aesthetics of its products.

Other suppliers at the event include Depa, Kirteks, Lava Cast Iron, Keramika, Palm (Milenyum Metal), Sunplast and Tria. The wide spectrum of housewares represented spansceramics, plastics, cast iron and melamine.

Tolga Akarcali, from event organiser GEC highlights: “This is a unique opportunity for UK buyers to meet directly with new suppliers and manufacturers with a wide range of products at no cost. There are many advantages of buying from Turkey, including the chance to lower costs without compromising on quality, and opportunities for custom design and special production.”

The Meet the Suppliers events take place on March 26 at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London, and March 27 at Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre.
