The winners of the inaugural The Gift Awards 2022 – uniting The Gift of the Year Awards (owned by the Giftware Association) and The Greats Awards (owned by Max Publishing) – were announced this evening (Thursday 12 May) at a glittering industry event, held at London’s Royal Lancaster hotel.
The Gift of the Year (GOTY) Award for Best Kitchen & Dining Product or Range (sponsored by HousewaresNews.net) was awarded to Clayspoon for its Halo Cotton Dish Covers.
The coveted GOTY trophy was presented to Clayspoon co-founder Katharine Chapman by John Barry, advertising manager for HousewaresNews.net and Progressive Housewares.
Meanwhile the GOTY Best Food & Drink Product or Range went to Spice Kitchen for its Indian Spice Tin and Silk Sari Wrap.
The foodie (and baking) theme continued with the Best Pet Gift Product or Range, which was won by Doggy Baking Co’s Paw-Licking Baking Kits from The Bottled Baking Co, and Kimm & Miller won the Best Novelty Product or Range for its Heinz Tomato Ketchup Grow Your Own Tomatoes Kit.
Hosted by comedian Charlie Baker, The Gift Awards were attended by over 400 guests, spanning gift retailers, suppliers, manufacturers, reps and agents.
