Grunwerg launched a raft of new ‘cutting edge’ ranges for the new season in the delectable setting of London’s Le Gavroche, Michel Roux Jr’s two Michelin starred restaurant.
Over 20 of Grunwerg’s key knives stockists attended the launch last week (September 7), including Fenwick, John Lewis, Trevor Mottram and Harts of Stur, as well as members of the media. The event raised £10,000 for the charity Hospitality Action, which specifically looks after those who are struggling due to the impact of the pandemic on the hospitality sector.
Grunwerg’s new ranges include Rockingham Forge SAFE-D Serieswith rounded tips, meaning less chance of causing accidental injury or harm. The launch recognises the rise of home cooking during lockdown, and has been “developed to promote safety in the kitchen with children in mind and those ‘on the move,’” notes Judith Callens, marketing manager for Grunwerg.
New introductions from Grunwerg include the new Sashimi knives in the Kasumi Damascus range and Kengata knives in the Tamahagane San range. New Global knives include a Fluted Chef’s Blade, Serrated Tomato Knife and a Leather Knife Case and Apron. The La Gavroche event attracted a high number of orders and commitments to stocking the new lines, confirms Judith.
