Harrods wins gia Top Window Award 2022

Harrods, London has been announced as one of the three Global Honorees for the gia Top Window Awards 2022, organised and globally sponsored by The Inspired Home Show and the International Housewares Association (IHA). The Global Honorees (worldwide winners) were revealed as part of the ‘Enhance Your Visual Toolbox / gia Top Window Award’ presentation by gia expert juror Anne Kong yesterday (October 13) during the IHA’s Connect FALL virtual event.

“The International Housewares Association is very proud to have honoured the very best in home + housewares retailing through the gia Awards for over 20 years,” said Derek Miller, president and ceo of IHA. “The most recent gia Top Window Awards competition had entries from 10 countries, and it is incredibly encouraging to see the creativity and passion that retailers are placing into their window displays. We look forward to hosting the three gia Top Window Award winners at The Inspired Home Show in Chicago, along with more than 30 additional retailers who have won other gia country-level competitions.”

The gia Top Window Award is a special awards programme under the gia umbrella. As with the general gia Retail Awards, the Top Window competition is structured on a two-tier level, national and global. The programme is sponsored on a national level by leading trade magazine titles around the world. Exclusive UK gia sponsors Progressive Housewares and HousewaresNews.net put forward two windows from the UK (from a wide range of very high standard submissions).

“We are thrilled that Harrods has won the Global Honoree for gia Top Window Award for the second year running,” states outgoing PH editor Jo Howard, who has been working with the IHA’s gia programme over the past 20 years. “This is testament to the huge creativity of the UK housewares industry and our high standards of visual merchandising.”
