Homebase in BHETA double bill

Homebase is engaging with members of BHETA (The British Home Enhancement Trade Association) with two virtual events this month. Dave Elliott, Homebase’s commercial and marketing director presents a webinar on March 17 (11am). Following a successful BHETA Meet The Buyer event with Homebase at the end of January, which focused on building and DIY, a second Meet the Buyer event – targeted at categories including cleaning and irons – takes place on March 25.

In his webinar, Dave Elliott will provide suppliers with an update on Homebase’s recent trading performance, future strategic direction, consumer and trade trends, opportunities for suppliers and the role they can play in maintaining the resurgence of home improvement.  He will also talk about the ten-year partnership (announced in September 2020) with THG Ingenuity, the ecommerce division of The Hut Group to transform Homebase’s digital presence.

The webinar is a BHETA members’ event, and there will be a Q & A session with participants after Dave’s 20-30 minute presentation.

BHETA members can register for the event via the BHETA website HERE. or by contacting Nicola in Member Services on na@bheta.co.uk.

Chief operating officer of BHETA Will Jones commented, “I’m delighted that BHETA can secure key industry speakers like Dave Elliott and I know there will be a great turn out to hear him talk about the future of Homebase and how suppliers and potential suppliers can get involved.  I urge all interested suppliers to book as soon as possible.”

In the virtual Meet The Buyer event with Homebase on March 25, buyers are keen to engage with suppliers of eco cleaning, mops, vacuum cleaners, steam mops, window vacuums and irons (in addition to painting and decorating).

Suppliers can attend with a maximum of two people and will be allocated a 20-minute appointment with the relevant buyer, during which they need to focus on product features and benefits, together with cost price proposals.

To participate successfully, suppliers will need a laptop or desktop computer with built in camera and internet access. Joining instructions will be forwarded nearer the time.

BHETA members can attend the Meet the Buyer event at a cost of £45 +VAT.  Non-members can take up a first time trial (£149 +VAT) while non-members who have already attended at BHETA Meet The Buyer event are also welcome at a cost of £199 +VAT (paid by March 17).

* The closing date for Meet the Buyer applications is Monday March 15.  To book a place, contact Helen Farnell, hf@bheta.co.uk, from the BHETA Member Services Team.
