Daniel Leppo, (pictured left) evp and gmm or menswear, kids, The Home Store and cosmetics at Bloomingdales; William Endres, (pictured right) president of Select Brands; and Clea Shearer, (pictured centre) co-founder of The Home Edit, will be honoured for their philanthropic endeavours by the HCF during its annual Housewares Cares Charity Gala on Monday 6 March, during The Inspired Home Show 2023 in Chicago.
Leppo and Shearer will receive the Humanitarian of the Year award and Endres will receive the Lifetime Achievement award.
The Gala, which will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel, will start with a reception at 6pm. Proceeds will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), the HCF’s legacy charity, as well as the James Beard Foundation, Winning with Wyatt, which supports paediatric brain tumour research and the V Foundation, which promotes victory over cancer.
Since the first gala in 1998, HCF has raised over $55 million and has been credited with donating over $32 million to BCRF. Since 2000, HCF has funded 128 BCRF research projects.
