The next tranche of Excellence in Housewares Awards 2020 finalists to be revealed this week include The Icon Award. This recognises classic housewares that are withstanding ‘the test of time’.
The Icon finalists are the result of nominations by housewares retailers. Winners of the Award join The Icon Gallery and cannot be nominated again.
“These Icons tell a host of wonderful stories about how we cook and prepare food, our kitchens and aspirations, and what we appreciate,” reflected Jo Howard, editor of HousewaresNews.net and Progressive Housewares (organisers of The Excellence in Housewares Awards). “It’s a great honour to celebrate products that continue to be superstars in our kitchens and homes – the Icon Award is one of the very special elements of The Excellence in Housewares Awards.”
The Icon Award 2020 finalists are:
Anodised Sandwich Tin from Silverwood
Breville Sandwich Toaster from Jarden Consumer Solutions
Global Knives from Grunwerg
Good Grips Y Peeler from OXO
Kitchen Devils Paring Knife from Fiskars
Prestige High Dome Pressure Cooker from Meyer
Stellar 7000 5 Piece Saucepan Set from Horwood

The winner of the Icon Award 2020 will be revealed during the online Excellence in Housewares Awards event on Wednesday December 9.
Members of the industry will be coming together virtually via Session Rooms where colleagues and customers can chat and raise a class together before and after joining the ‘main stage’ event of the Awards presentations.
