IHA: Why I sponsor the Excellence in Housewares Awards

Derek Miller, president and ceo of the International Housewares Association, explains why the association supports the awards.
Why do you sponsor the Excellence in Housewares Awards?
Derek:The International Housewares Association and The Inspired Home Show are proud to sponsor the Excellence in Housewares Awards as they highlight determination, newness and innovation, which are life bloods of the industry.”
Why did The Inspired Home Show choose Excellence in Homewares as the category it would sponsor?
Derek: “The Inspired Home Show choose to sponsor Excellence in Homewares as this category is a primary focus in Chicago. Hundreds of product suppliers and buyers from the homewares category convene at The Inspired Home Show each year in March to find new products and sales opportunities.”
What’s your favourite thing about the awards?
Derek: “While the event is about honouring achievement, the networking and the overall love shown throughout the evening is incredible.”
Why do you think housewares companies and retailers should attend the awards?
Derek: “In-person, face-to-face interactions are incredibly important. No amount of articles or video recaps will be able to match what can be achieved by being in-person at an event such as The Excellence in Housewares Awards.”
