Infuse-ism for Exclusively

More than 275 brands are set to show their best as the doors open for Exclusively Housewares and Exclusively Electrical tomorrow (London’s Business Design Centre, June 11-12).

With hydration continuing to be a strong consumer need, UK Thermos’ launches and product demonstrations at Exclusively Housewares include an innovative infuser bottle. The bottle has an integrated strainer in the lid, meaning that any fruit, herbs or ice can be added quickly and easily.  The 360º lid also allows the user to drink from anywhere on the lid with a twisting function that controls the flow of liquid.  Thermos UK will also preview Lifefactory, a range of glass hydration and baby bottles protected by colourful silicone sleeves and designed for every family life stage.

Australian brand Füri invites visitors to try its ranges of ‘reverse wedge handle’ knives on the Fackelmann Brands stand. Brand manager Tom Groundes-Peace commented, “We are really pleased to be bringing our innovations back to the Exclusively Housewares show for the second time and to continue solving the problem of hand fatigue which so many chefs and home cooks suffer. We will be encouraging visitors to experience the unique handle for themselves.”

Some 30 exhibitors at the Exclusively Shows will be showing small domestic appliances, with the bulk of these being in Exclusively Electrical. ‘Cool operators’ include Benross, which launches its new consumer electronics brand Tors+Olsson at Exclusively Electrical. The Scandi-Style, design-led brand focuses on cooling and air treatment, including the Air Pod bladeless fan, which has been selected for the Trend Showcase at Exclusively (curated by trend forecaster Scarlett Opus).

Jon Brennan, Benross‘ commercial director recognises the rising demand for air cooling products in the home, particularly given the hot temperatures last summer. He comments:  “While most fans over the last 20 years have been very distress/commodity driven purchases, with this increase in focus more consumers are looking for products that not only have functional benefits, but also an emphasis on design.”

On a sustainable theme, new exhibitor Orthex will be showing its new Bio kitchen utensils range and Recycled Boxes.

Meanwhile, Alan and Gary at Aerolatte (exhibiting in Exclusively Housewares) have been sharing the brand’s ‘behind the scenes’ coffee brewing ‘bloopers’ video with stockists in the run-up to the shows. The duo has been making an educational video for hand brewing coffee, but references to dancing ‘Flavo Noids’ apparently did not make the final cut.
