simplehuman, a leader in luxury housewares design and innovation based in Los Angeles, California, and operating globally. From our UK office we manage the brand throughout Europe and the Middle East.

As Key Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing our pureplay and variety sales channels. With a solid history of successfully developing both internal and external relationships, you will take ownership of your channel, maximizing the opportunities available to simplehuman online via direct retailers and various marketplace/DSV touchpoints. Your commercial acumen and persuasive nature will open doors to additional trading opportunities with existing partners, and unlock new, incremental opportunities to further develop the brand.

To be successful in this role, you will bring a proven sales track record, a skill to nurture and develop existing relationships, and a desire and skill to unearth new opportunities to showcase the brand to more potential customers.

Regular travel to your customer base nationwide, some international travel and regular visits to our head office in Oxfordshire will be required.

Directly responsible to: UK Head of Sales

Main tasks:

  • develop and implement creative strategies to raise simplehuman’s profile and grow our business with pureplay and marketplace retailers
  • maintain and develop current business relationships to maximize their potential
  • grow brand presence with retail partners by delivering solutions that increase sales and distribution
  • identify new opportunities to further increase brand reach via new potential retail partners and marketplaces
  • optimise product listings, content, visual assets, and conversion rates
  • monitor marketing performance and spend for keyword campaigns and product ads
  • launch innovative marketing campaigns and optimise toward KPI goals
  • report on weekly sales and use data to inform strategic decisions
  • build strong relationships with key account partners/buyers
  • create and work within agreed forecast and targets
  • work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to always ensure operational excellence
  • ensure all business activities adhere to legal and ethical standards

 

Skills and Experience:

  • excellent sales skills and ability to influence at all levels
  • fully versed in ecommerce sales strategy including assortments, marketing, and campaign management
  • Ability to analyse multiple data sources to make strategic sales decisions
  • strong negotiator, with a hunger to win
  • experience in managing internal as well as external stakeholders to deliver results
  • eye for detail with a strong sense for numbers
  • can interpret complex information into easy opportunities for customers
  • strong presentation skills
  • excel expert
  • Fluency in another European languages advantageous
