Independent retailers that are going to The Inspired Home Show in Chicago (previously The International Home + Housewares Show) will benefit from insights into trends as well as sales and marketing training at a dedicated Independents’ Day.
The educational and networking day (open to independent retailers from the US, UK and worldwide) takes place on Friday March 13 (from 12.45pm in the Vista Ballroom of the show’s venue, the McCormick Centre) – the day prior to the show’s opening on Saturday March 14.
The event free of charge and organised by The International Housewares Association, recognising the value that indies bring to the housewares market.
IHA’s consumer trends forecaster, Tom Mirabile (co-founder and principal of Springboards Insights) will be kicking off the agenda, discussing ‘How On-Trend Products Can Make In-Store Shopping A Must and Bolster Store Sales and Profits.’
Paul Erickson, marketing and sales director of Management One will provide further insights to help retailers boost sales with his presentation on: ‘Proven Techniques to Increase Sales, Profits and Cash Flow.’
‘Sidelines That Sell, Merchandise Strategies to Help Your Store Succeed,’ is the subject matter for a talk by Ari Lowenstein, past president of the Gift Sales Manager Association, while Lenise Willis, editor in chief of Gifts & Decorative Accessories will discuss the hot topic of ‘Using Social Influencers.’
The afternoon ends with an overview of The Inspired Home Show and a Networking Cocktail Reception.
