If you are a passionate cookshop or housewares stockist, you could join the panel of fantastic retail buyers that are judging The Excellence in Housewares Product Awards, which is a ‘virtual’ judging event this year, due to Covid-19.
Interested buyers should contact Jo Howard, editor of Progressive Housewares (organisers of The Excellence in Housewares Awards) at joh@max-publishing.co.uk
“While many of our wonderful product judges took planes, trains and car journeys from around the UK every year to come and judge The Excellence in Housewares Product Awards, this year’s flexible online judging procedure means that the panel can be even more geographically diverse, with no need for any journeys!” says Jo.
Joining the judges this year, Richard Barker of Cilla and Camilla Cookshop in Sherbourne, Dorset explains what he is looking forward to when vieiwing the Excellence in Housewares Product Award entries:
“Other than the obvious attributes of good design and reliability, I will be looking for products which genuinely solve problems. That is, products that make the users’ lives easier, or safer, or allow them to do things which they couldn’t easily do before. As opposed to mere re-invention of existing products which add little or nothing to the user’s experience.”
* Retailers – there is still time to enter your shop/s into the Excellence in Housewares Awards with the extended deadline for retailer submissions of Tuesday August 2 – click HERE.
