Jose Maria Ferreira, the established Portuguese ceramic company, which trades under the Jomafe brand, is delighted to announce the formation of Jomafe (UK) Ltd from this month, handling all business in the UK. This development has come about due to the continued growth of the company and demonstrates its on-going commitment to the UK market.
Headed up by Paul Threse, Jomafe (UK) Ltd. plans an expansion of the ceramic and cutlery business over the next few months. “We will be increasing the size of the current showroom to display a wider range of products, as well as expanding our team”, explains Paul. “This will all be backed up with PR and marketing support”, continues Paul “and, in addition, we will be holding some stock in the UK and there will no longer be the need for customers to clear goods as that will have been taken care of”.
Paul has been responsible for Jomafe’s UK business from the beginning, and also takes care of other markets worldwide. Initially, it was focused on the production and supply of own label products for customers, but both that side of the business and the Jomafe branded business has grown considerably.
“Much of this success is down to the fact that the company offers quality with competitive prices and short lead times. There is also a huge emphasis on constant creation and development of new shapes and designs to keep ranges fresh and on-trend”.
Portugal has a long and successful heritage of ceramic production, especially stoneware, and with headquarters in Guimarães, Portugal, the company manufactures oven-to-tableware, mixing bowls, pudding basins and tableware, while its wholly-owned sister company, Iber Cutelarias, produces stainless steel cutlery.
The business also distributes other housewares products including cookware, bakeware, tools and gadgets, food storage, knives and wood serving boards.
