Judge (from Horwoods) has introduced a range of ovenware that is ‘Made in the UK’ from carbon steel and sealed with an easy-clean enamel coating. The introduction is part of the company’s strategy to improve customer service by regularly reviewing its own suppliers. The new factory was chosen for its reduced lead times (from four months to four days), providing flexibility and improved stock holding.

James Robinson, Horwood’s marketing manager comments: “Judge is delighted to be sourcing this range in the UK.  It is somewhat ironic as the factory is only minutes away from the original Judge factory that sadly closed back in 1930’s”. He adds: “It’s hugely beneficial to be able to fly the “Manufactured in UK”, an attribute that will appeal to our customers”.

James highlights that the new vitreous enamel ovenware will “stand the test of time” as it “will not degrade or flake overtime, like ceramic or non-stick coatings, and it is also non-reactive to acids or alkaline foods.”
