Ken is longest licensed chef

Ken Hom is the longest continuous celebrity chef endorsement in the UK – having been in partnership with DKB (and its previous UK company name William Levene) since 1986.

“We are very proud to continue to work with Ken – there is no other celebrity chef that has the same range continuity over such a long period of time,” says Grant Race, DKB’s global marketing and NPD director. Grant also emphasises Ken’s passion for cooking with his products: “Every year he has demonstrated at UK independents.”

Ken’s range continues to evolve. At the recent Ambiente, DKB launched the new Ken Hom 30cm Pressed Aluminium Wok – ideal for tossing stir frys due to its high back – and 18cm Cleaver – a favourite tool for the celebrity chef.

“To Asian and Chinese cooks the cleaver is an all-purpose cutting instrument that makes all other knives unnecessary,” says Ken Hom. “One you start working with a cleaver, you will see how easy it is to use on all types of food to slice, dice, chop, fillet, shred or crush.”
